Society for the Preservation of Dixieland Jazz is very excited to announce our feature band for October will be the Pepper Moons, 27 October 2024!
Local musicians play various sets between 1:00 and 3:00 pm; feature band plays an hour set, and local musicians again take the stage until 5:00 pm.
If you are a musician bring your instrument, dancers bring your dancing shoes, music lovers bring your happy ears!!
After sending three youth to jazz camp this year, it has depleted our 2nd Line on High Scholarship fund. It takes just over $1000 per youth to send them to summer Jazz camp. In October, we will have a special set to showcase what these kids have learned.
As a means of getting us towards our goal of $3500 for our 2nd Line on High Scholarship Fund by April 2025, we are going to try a little something different than we’ve done in the past
To clarify, your annual dues and your door admission fees do not contribute to our 2nd Line on High Scholarship fund.

ABOUT US
The Society for the Preservation of Dixieland Jazz was created to encourage, perpetuate, and preserve the appreciation of Dixieland music. Our focus is to provide opportunities for musicians and listeners to discuss, hear, and play Dixieland music, and to learn, preserve, and maintain at least a part of the history of Dixieland music.
Dixieland Music, also known as New Orleans Jazz or Traditional Jazz (Trad Jazz for short), is America’s most important contribution to the world of music, and, in an effort to broaden public awareness, we are trying to honor the work, history, style, and significance that Dixieland Jazz has provided to current day music.
We meet the 4th Sunday of each month at Arcadia Elks Lodge, 27 W Huntington Drive Arcadia CA 91007 from 1:00-5:00. Door admission is $10 for members, $15 for nonmembers (but it’s only $20 to become a member!)
Listed below are feeds from our Instagram and Facebook Page social media, for those who do not have access to them – you can read them here!
